The Dialogue on Promotion of Cooperation for a More Neutral, Impartial and Friendly International Arbitration was held in Xiamen on April 22, attracting over 100 industry professionals from Belt and Road countries and BRICS nations.
During the dialogue, participants engaged in discussions and in-depth deliberations on important issues such as how arbitrators can maintain impartiality in resolving disputes and how to enhance international arbitration exchanges and cooperation.
An Shouzhi, co-founder of the Maritime Silk Road International Arbitration Promotion Center introduced the center's mission to "share knowledge and promote arbitration" and provided drafting explanations on the "Initiative for Promoting More Neutral, Fair, and Friendly International Arbitration".
Experts, scholars, arbitrators, and legal professionals from Belt and Road countries and BRICS nations unanimously endorsed the cooperation initiative. Participants called for joint efforts to create a harmonious international arbitration environment and to promote more neutral, fair, and friendly international arbitration and cooperation through collaboration.
The event released the first research outcome of the Maritime Silk Road International Arbitration Promotion Center — "Chinese Law v. Common Law".
